It is important to remember when your air conditioner is installed as part of your home building contract, a zoned system will be installed.
Zoned air conditioning systems are designed to allow the tailoring of airflow to different areas of the home to provide the best service to each home. It is typical for the minor bedroom areas to be placed in the same zone due to their location in the home and generally smaller size, which has occurred in your home. This will mean that the whole house may not be cooled / heated at the same time.
It is also important to clean the main air filter ever 3-6 months. You can find out how to do this in our maintenance videos on our website.
Lastly air conditioners need to be regularly serviced. It is recommended to do this every 12 month to ensure it is running correctly. Please contact Stinson air directly to arrange this: https://stinsonair.com.au/contact-us/

If you notice your air conditioning unit dripping water, don’t worry — it’s likely just going into defrost mode, which is completely normal during the colder months.
Here’s what’s happening:
When the outdoor air passes over the heat exchanger, there’s usually a 10–15°C temperature difference. On chilly mornings or evenings, if the outside temperature is around 5°C, the air coming out of the unit can be as cold as -5°C to -10°C. This causes condensation to form, which then freezes on the outdoor unit.
Over time, the frost can build up and prevent the system from operating efficiently. To fix this, the unit automatically switches into defrost mode. During this process, the air conditioner stops heating inside and redirects hot gas to the outdoor coil to melt the frost.
As the ice melts, you’ll see a large amount of water draining away — this is completely normal. The compressor continues running to circulate the refrigerant and complete the defrost cycle.
This is most likely an issue with the water flow.
